Early estimates put the amount raised by the 2011 West Coast Mennonite Sale & Auction for World Relief at around $180,000. The 44th event was April 1 and 2, 2011, on the main FPU campus.

Visitors supported world relief by buying quilts, antiques, international and domestic crafts, books, plants, fine art, furniture and food from traditional favorites like Verenika, German sausage and fritters to dishes from Asia and Mexico. Besides hosting, FPU got in on the act by selling coffee at the alumni booth and providing music by ensembles such as the jazz band and Pacific Bronze hand bell choir. A new feature was a concert, “Tripping the Sixties,” by Barry McGuire and John York. The sale is organized by the West Coast Mennonite Central Committee, part of an international organization dedicated to answering human needs “In the name of Christ.” MCC West Coast is headquartered in Reedley.
