In the exciting follow-up program to their Grammy-nominated album American Originals, Agave Baroque and soprano Michele Kennedy explore images of motherhood and the feminine divine through the ages and across continents as told through the voices of female composers. Delve into the intersections of spirituality and incarnation, grief and hope, and ultimately, transformation. From 17th-century Italian convents to the Underground Railroad, this program presents a powerful and vivid journey into the heights and depths of the human experience.

Now in its 21st season, the Pacific Artists Series is the flagship cycle of concerts presented by the Fresno Pacific University Music Department. Notable performers have included Janai Brugger (soprano), Rong-Huey Liu (oboe), Francesca Dego (violin), Eugene Friesen (cello), Ruta Bloomfield (harpsichord), Andrew Funk (bass) and Del Sol Quartet. Additionally, FPU’s talented music faculty, as well as many former students, have also performed.
