David Bruce Rose, Ph.D.
David Bruce Rose, Ph.D., associate professor, marriage, family and child counseling, led a sexual assault prevention training session for Air National Guard chaplains and chaplain assistants September 10-13 at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, near Knoxville, Tennessee. Sherry Walling, Ph.D., was the other facilitator. A former assistant professor of psychology at FPU, she is currently a member of the adjunct faculty.

Cultural Awareness Night highlights Costa Rica (video link)
Fresno Pacific’s International Programs and Services Office hosted the first Cultural Awareness night of the 2012-13 school year on September 20. Each event features the culture of some of our international students. Costa Rica was the culture highlighted this month with presentations from students and a traditional meal representative of the area.

Student activities kicks off semester with Bunko Night
The annual Bunko Night was held Tuesday, September 6. In this fast-paced dice game partners compete against other teams by rolling certain number of die and progressing through different tables and teams. A “Bunko” is rolling a three-of-a-kind, and the winners compete for an FPU sweatshirt.
