Social work faculty and students helped bring Christmas to a community in need. Saul Salinas, Ed.D., assistant professor of social work, and three MSW students participated in the 4th annual Delft Colony Toy Giveaway.

Toys were gathered through donations and dispersed to about 100 students at the bus stop on December 20, 2024. Another 100 students in the Grandview Elementary School after-school program also received gifts. Delft Colony is a rural community in Tulare County between Kingsburg and Dinuba. Salinas grew up there and assists resents in numerous ways throughout the year. Salinas says he believes we must never forget where we come from and continue to give back to communities the same way God has blessed us. More information at facebook.com/delftcolony/
