FPU and librarians from Fresno Unified School District and Fresno County Office of Education have joined for the Battle of the Books student reading competition Friday, January 28, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Ashley Auditorium in McDonald Hall. Some 80-100 students from 10 area middle schools—including Foothill, Sierra Unified and several from FUSD—will compete by answering questions on books they have read. The local Battle of the Books is part of a national effort.
