Great music will blow the winter blues away as choirs from throughout the community come together in Fresno Pacific University’s Winter Choral Masterworks Concert.
Fresno Choral Artists and church choirs will join the San Joaquin Chorale and the FPU Concert Choir, Women’s Chorale and Chamber Singers. A professional orchestra will also perform.
The concert begins at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024, in St. James Episcopal Cathedral, 4147 E. Dakota Ave., Fresno. Admission is free, and a free-will offering will be taken.
The power of the program matches the virtuosity of the participants, featuring Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G” and J.S. Bach’s “Easter cantata (BWV #4, ‘Christ lag in Todesbanden’).” The concert will be under the overall direction of Jeffrey Wilson, D.M.A., director of choral activities at FPU.
