Fresno Pacific University’s Visalia Campus hosted the Visalia Industrial Park Job Fair.

Some 544 jobseekers turned out between 8:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7 at the campus, 245 Plaza Dr. The event was put on by the Visalia Economic Development Corporation, The Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County and Employment Connection.

More than two dozen employers were on site, including Visalia Transit Center, Joanne Fabrics, Classic Charter, Proteus, Visalia Unified School District, TCOE- Early Childhood Education, ACE Distribution, Giether’s Family Homes, Serpa, United Health Centers and Ventura Coastal.

Alissa Hall, director of degree completion admissions at FPU, called the event successful and thanked the “phenomenal” campus staff, including operations, front desk and enrollment, who engaged with potential students in the crowd. “This accomplishment reflects our commitment to our community. The staff’s passion made a significant impact,” she said.
