West Hills College Coalinga Firebaugh Center and Fresno Pacific University are pleased to announce the formation of a historic collaboration designed to bolster regional education and equip local communities with enhanced learning resources. This partnership represents a commitment by both institutions to foster synergies grounded in their shared vision of accessible education for all.

“This exciting partnership will serve as a driver of academic innovation, effectively merging the strengths of both institutions,” said André Stephens, Ph.D., Fresno Pacific University President. “By aligning our resources, we intend to lay a dynamic foundation for the future of education in our region.”

“Education is always at its most impactful when institutions work together towards shared goals,” said West Hills College Coalinga President Carla Tweed, Ed.D. “This collaboration with Fresno Pacific University represents an exciting leap forward for the West Hills College Coalinga Firebaugh Center in enhancing student success and engagement.”

The collaboration also aims to streamline the route for students progressing from West Hills College Coalinga to Fresno Pacific University, underpinning the commitment of both institutions to create seamless educational pathways for students.  

“Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we believe that by working together, we can provide a stronger support system that ensures success for our students,” said Firebaugh Center Dean Bethany Matos.

Fresno Pacific University and WHCC Firebaugh Center will host a media event on Monday, March 4, at 2:00 p.m. at the Firebaugh Center, 900 O St., Firebaugh. All media partners and the community are invited to attend.
