A group of Fresno Pacific University students, faculty and staff gathered at the Cross on the main university campus February 28, 2022, to pray for Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion. Brian Davis, campus chaplain, led the event.

Prayer Points were for:

  • Peace
  • Families of the deceased/injured (more than 350 dead, more than 1,500 injured)
  • Refugees (350,000, with Moldova, Romania, Poland and Hungary among the countries seeking to help)
  • All who remain in Ukraine
  • The three Ukrainian students at FPU
  • Russians and others protesting the war
  • Mennonite Brethren and other pastors in the Ukraine
  • Humanitarian response efforts

Participants were given ways to contribute to those humanitarian response efforts through Mennonite Central Committee at Ukraine emergency response | Mennonite Central Committee (mcc.org) and the Mennonite Center—Ukraine at mennonitecentre.ca/about-us
