COVID-19 vaccine appointments available to FPU employees

Appointments are open for workers in the education sector in California to get their COVID-19 vaccine. This includes all current FPU employees: administrators, student workers, faculty, adjunct faculty and staff. Everyone is encouraged to schedule both necessary appointments by going to myturn.ca.gov, finding the vaccination site nearest your campus or home and filling out the information. (There is also a toll-free number 1-833-422-4255.) On this website are two forms—a COVID-19 Consent Form and a Pre-Vaccination Screening Form—to fill out and take to your appointment. Everyone will also need to bring a government picture ID, such as a driver’s license. A personalized employment verification letter has been emailed to all employees from the Human Resources Office to verify employment in the education sector when people get their shots. Employees may also use FPU ID cards. Those who receive the vaccine during work hours may use COVID, sick or vacation time to cover time away from work.
