School districts offered everything from chocolate to $10,000 signing bonuses to attract new teachers during the Teacher Education Job Fair March 16 in the Fresno Pacific University Special Events Center. The annual event, sponsored by the School of Education, attracted 48 area districts looking to hire teachers in a variety of fields. About 70 students and alumni checked in for appointments, with some candidates receiving job offers and others scheduled for follow-up interviews.
