The FPU spring Mainstage production of the musical Little Women was a hit!

More than 1,100 people attended the four performances April 8-10 at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, 2425 Fresno St., Fresno. The re-telling of Louisa May Alcott’s classic American novel classic also garnered strong media attention:

The student cast included: Meg Clark as Jo March, Garrison Bennett as Professor Bhaer, Annelise Escobedo as Amy March, Gracie Watkins as Meg March, Emily Mooney as Beth March, Laynee Roth as Marmee March, Tim Fletcher as Mr. Laurence, EJ Hinojosa as Laurie, Jake Mizner as Mr. John Brooke and Allison Calhoun as Mrs. Kirk. Also in the company were Audriana Moody and Bryn Riley. Bethany Rader directed the play and Steven Herevia was assistant director. Music faculty Milt Friesen, Deborah Sauer-Ferrand and Erik Leung were musical director, vocal coach and instrumental director, respectively. Julia Reimer, Ph.D., directs the university theater program.
