Beginning in Fall 2026, Fresno Pacific University will once again offer a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.

The program is designed to help students grow both creatively and professionally. Students will build skills in visual communication, branding and digital design while learning from faculty with experience in the field of graphic design. While in the program, students will engage in hands-on projects similar to what graphic design professionals do every day. Students will also build a professional portfolio of real work that can be shown to potential employers and gain opportunities for internships and industry placement.

Courses will include topics in visual communication and design foundations, brand and identity storytelling, interactive and digital media, UX/UI principles and more.

The graphic design program at FPU further differentiates itself from others by pairing a faith-integrated approach with real-world application, preparing students to create work that reflects purpose, ethics and impact.

“This program prepares students not only to create compelling visual work but also to think critically about the messages they communicate,” said Associate Professor of Arts and Disciplinary Lead Rebecca McMillen, Ph.D. “We’re excited to see students equipped with the skills and experience they need to succeed in our visual world.”
