An event to honor the winners—including Fresno Pacific University—of the 2020 Ballot Bowl took place May 5, 2021.

The California University and College Ballot Bowl Competition was put on by the California Students Vote Project—an effort by the Secretary of State’s Office to engage California students in the democratic process. All of the state’s major higher education systems were invited to compete to register the most students to vote prior to the 2020 general election. FPU won in the category of schools in the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU). Other categories covered the University of California, California State University and California Community College systems. In all, 95 campuses competed and over 82,000 students registered to vote.
