From the best pie in town to the next great app on the market, the Social Business Plan Workshop at Fresno Pacific University can help anyone develop a business idea into a means to do good in the community.

The workshop will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019, on the main FPU campus, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno. Admission is free. Register at eventbrite.com/e/cct-social-business-plan-workshop-2019-tickets-58738001945.

FPU’s Center for Community Transformation is organizing the workshop, and top ideas will have the opportunity to be part of CCT’s 7th Annual Spark Tank Pitch Fest for Social Enterprises, which awards thousands of dollars in start-up capital. Workshop participants will walk away with the practical knowledge and tools to develop their talents and ideas into social enterprises that use business practices to help people as well as provide a product or service.

The workshop will be led by Andrew Shinn, MBA, business instructor at Fresno Pacific University and founder of The Craft of Entrepreneurship. For more information, contact Carlos Huerta at carlos.huerta@fresno.edu.
