May 11, 2024, was an evening of fun, excitement and Fresno Grizzlies baseball as Fresno Pacific University proudly sponsored Christian Fellowship Night.

The evening began at 5:00 p.m. at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno with a Christian concert featuring Social Club Misfits and Ryan Ellis. At 6:30 p.m., our very own FPU President André Stephens, Ph.D., took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch—he got it across the plate!

Alumni, supporters and folks from the community frequented the FPU booth, enjoying free stickers, swag and drawings. Many rocked their favorite FPU shirt or wore orange and blue. As always Sunny the Sunbird was a star of the show, entertaining the kids and spreading cheer throughout the ballpark.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes benefitted from the event as the organization was presented with a $2,500 check by representatives from FPU and the Fresno Grizzlies. The first 1,500 attendees also received Fresno Grizzlies hats.

While the Fresno Grizzlies were defeated by the Modesto Nuts 3-2, fans still enjoyed a fun night out.
