Graduating seniors Anthony Fredette received the Harold Haak Award and Kaitlyn Goslinga the Academic Award in a ceremony in the office of President Pete C. Menjares, Ph.D., May 8, 2014. Fredette earned a B.A. in philology and Goslinga a B.A. in social work.
Named for the former FPU President, the Harold Haak Award honors an outstanding graduate who is a member of the university chapter of the Alpha Chi honor society; has made a contribution to the university, community and church; and is recognized for promise of future success. The Academic Award goes to students who have excelled in academic work and their particular areas of giftedness. Teaching faculty select the recipients of both awards.
