Instead, the choir members will remain in Japan and work with Mennonite Brethren Missions. The decision was made after a great deal of research, planning and prayer. The group is safely in Osaka, Japan. Changing travel plans for a large group can be a complex task and we will post their updated plans as they are confirmed.

Zachary Durlam, D.M.A., director of choral activities, who is leading the trip, and trip coordinator Mark Thompson of MB Mission have been in touch with people in Thailand and the FPU administration and the Office of International Programs & Services have also been involved.

Despite this change in plan, the trip has been positive for the participants. "It has been amazing to see God at work in and through our group," Durlam says. "We appreciate your continued prayers for our mission and our safety!"
