César García, general secretary of Mennonite World Conference, is the guest speaker for the May 30-31 event, called "Impact 2014." García, who earned his master's from MB Biblical Seminary (now Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, part of FPU) in 2011, will give a presentation titled "Developing an Effective Ministry with the Church and in the Community." In addition, youth will take a tour of Fresno in an activity called "Encounter the City."

Meetings for the event will be in Steinert Campus Center on the FPU main campus, hosted by the university Office of Spiritual Formation and Advancement Office. The Pacific District Conference includes 35 Hispanic congregations among its 110 churches and is the denominational organization affiliated with FPU.
