FPU’s Center for Community Transformation is hosting the event, combining its ninth Spark Tank and its third EXPO. These projects have catalyzed more than 50 social enterprises and nurtured more than 60 to bring economic shalom—complete peace and wellness in body, mind, soul and spirit—to the Valley.
The EXPO will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with goods and services—including delicious food for purchase—available, as well as the entrepreneurs themselves. This year’s Spark Tank winners, think Shark Tank without scary teeth, will be announced during a program from 12:15-12:45 p.m. At stake is $25,000 in start-up investment, and contestants can be individuals, churches and other faith-based organizations.
The newest winners will be named in FPU’s newest building: the Warkentine Culture and Arts Center. This $15M facility features the latest innovations in music, theater and events for the campus and surrounding community. The center is located at 4837 E. Townsend Ave., at the corner of Townsend and Garden. Parking is available around the building and in lots on the surrounding FPU campus.
Admission is free but visitors strongly encouraged to register at 2022-spark-tank-expo.eventbrite.com
