Lauren Nichols, a senior music performance and studio art major from Clovis, has been selected to participate in The Consummate Flutist program at Carnegie Mellon University June 11-15, 2019. She is on the performer track, the most selective, requiring a recorded audition. “I was really excited to be performing in the masterclass instead of just being in the audience,” she said. Nichols will also attend workshops at the university, in Pittsburgh, PA. The Consummate Flutist offers programs three times each year that offer instruction from world-class musicians. Nichols also teaches in FPU’s Community Music School, open to area public school musicians. More on TCF at theconsummateflutist.com/
