Foundation board discusses art, real estate

Reports on art and real estate were given to the board of the Fresno Pacific University Foundation during regular meetings June 21.

The foundation entered into new marketing agreements for the university art collections. "We're optimistic this will open options in national and international art sales," said Mark Deffenbacher, foundation executive director.

Board members heard a report that nearly all real estate held by the foundation has been sold. Remaining holdings include grazing land earmarked to help finance Steinert Campus Center, a dining hall, student lounge and office building now under construction.

The board continues to interview trust and asset management groups to possibly help members handle some day-to-day responsibilities.
