Fresno Pacific University celebrated 2024 New Student Orientation August 16-18, 2024. Faculty, staff and returning students were on hand to happily help new freshmen and transfer students move into residence halls and enjoy a day of welcoming events on the main campus, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno.

One highlight of orientation is spending Friday-Sunday at Hume Lake Christian Camps. The time is filled with team-building activities and discussions led by student leaders and faculty. Freshmen make new friends and become invested in their Freshmen Seminar class and Collegium support group.

This year 205 new students, student leaders and staff—including President André Stephens, Ph.D.—attended Hume Lake. There were 158 freshmen, 28 student leaders and 14 faculty/staff mentors.

Monday, August 19, was the first day of class for traditional undergraduate students.
