Well…a small cannon. Shooting streamers.

Before the move-busting began Friday evening, new students and their parents were inspired by a sermon from University Pastor Angulus Wilson and music from on of FPU's worship bands in the Special Events Center. This followed dinner on the University Green, which ended a day of checking in for resident and commuter students. Highlights of Saturday and Sunday included meeting collegiums, a scavenger hunt and a Fresno Grizzlies baseball game.

A record 430 traditional undergraduate students were expected to begin classes August 29. More than 300 new students were anticipated in bachelor's degree completion and 40 at the seminary, for about 3,700 students total, up from 3,314 in fall 2010. Official totals will be taken after the 16th day of classes
