More than 300 new students were welcomed to Fresno Pacific University during Orientation August 25-28, 2022. Bearing smiles and signs and wearing orange t-shirts, student volunteers joined faculty, staff and administrators to help and guide first-time and transfer university students. New President André Stephens got involved, greeting the arrivals and helping carry luggage as they unloaded in front of Jost Hall. He also joined residential students on the overnight trip to Hume Lake Christian Camp, an Orientation highlight that was canceled during COVID. Other activities included athletic scrimmages, games, meetings for students and parents to help with the adjustment to college and delicious food such as barbecue and ice cream. Classes began on the main campus Monday, August 29.
