The new president welcomed new and returning students, as well as faculty, administrators and staff at Fresno Pacific University’s opening College Hour chapel service for the 2022-23 academic year.
André Stephens, Ph.D., who began as president July 1, gave the message August 30, 2022, in the Special Events Center on the main campus, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno. “My life was changed in a chapel service,” Stephens said, “my prayer this morning is that you hear the word of God spoken through me, that your hearts are being formed and transformed by the spirit of God working in this place.”
Stephens spoke on Second Timothy 3:16-17 (New Living Translation): “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
