Brown has explored the entire repertoire of vocal music from opera and art songs to musical theater to spirituals.
He has toured Africa, China, Northern Ireland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. A trained psychotherapist, Brown is artist-in-residence and part-time professor of sociology and history at Hesston (Kansas) College.
The Pacific Artist Series offers three more events for 2006-2007, culminating in a full production of Fiddler on the Roof in the spring.
The remaining performances are Eugene Friesen, cello, Thursday, January 18, 2007; Alan Durst, saxophone, and Corey Whitehead, guitar, Friday, February 9, 2007; and Fiddler, March 23, 24, 30 and 31, 2007.
All concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. in Bonner Auditorium at Fresno Art Museum; Fiddler will be at 7:30 p.m. in the FPU Special Events Center. Admission for all events is $10 for general audiences, $7 for senior citizens and students.
