“Community Funded Revitalization of Fresno” is the name of the next presentation in the School of Business Leadership Series at Fresno Pacific University.

The guest speaker will be John Katovich, founder and president of Cutting Edge Capital and Cutting Edge Counsel. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, at Bitwise South Stadium, 700 Van Ness Ave., Fresno. The $25 admission includes breakfast. Register online at communityfunded.eventbrite.com.

In his work, Katovich is both committed to fostering quadruple bottom-line practices for business, non-profits, cooperatives and communities, and providing strategies for the new impact economy. He has been general counsel and chief regulatory officer at two national stock and options exchanges, CEO of a NASDAQ regulatory subsidiary and general counsel for two private companies that raised over $400 million. Katovich co-founded a broker dealer, Turnstone Securities, that also focused on providing capital formation services to socially responsible businesses.

Katovich has taught in the Presidio Graduate School MBA program, University of California, Berkeley, and INSEAD, France. He was a founding board member of Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and is currently on the board of The Food Commons.

The keynote address will be followed by smaller sessions, including a spotlight on Fresno Pacific University’s new programs in software engineering and computer science.
