Attending the taping is a unique experience, and a fun one at that. Participants get to be a part of the actual show and audience. This was the first time ever doing something like this for most in the group.

The experience consists of standing in line for several hours before being allowed into the actual studio. This time in line allowed for the group to be silly, bond, and get to know one another even more. While in line, the studio employees assign name badges and numbers to all contestants. Also while waiting, each person is interviewed. It is in this interview process that everybody has a chance to be selected to go on stage.

Once admitted into the studio, they began calling down the contestants to begin taping, and the first name to be called was FPU's own David White. White, a senior and current student body president, was the first to win a prize of the show. He won a billiard table, and played to win a trip to Austria. Unfortunately he did not win the trip to Austria.

The group remained in the audience for the remainder of the taping. There they got to cheer on other contestants and interact with host, Drew Carey. After the taping, and with very hoarse throats from cheering and yelling so much, the group got to spend a little time in Hollywood to enjoy a meal, and returned back to Fresno.

A special thank you would like to be made to our friends at Laurelglen Bible Church in Bakersfield, CA for their hospitality in hosting the group on Sunday evening.

The show featuring students of Fresno Pacific University students will be aired on local Channel 47 on January 10, 2011.
