More at Fresno’s 40 Under 40 professionals to be honored. Know someone on the list? - The Business Journal
Fresno Pacific University alumni are well-represented among the latest 40 Under 40 group of the Valley’s top young professionals.
The 2023 class was honored December 7 at a program at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno. Winners are selected by Business Street Media Group, an online daily business publication covering Central California.
Alumni honorees were:
- Taylor Poisall—regional communications director at American Red Cross Central California who earned a B.A. in Business Administration with emphases in marketing and management and organizational studies in 2016
- Davy Vartanian—financial advisor at Principal® Financial Network who earned a B.A. in Business Management in 2016
Two adjunct instructors were also on the list:
- Deshunna Ricks—founder and president of I AM Valuable, which offers programs to teens and adults
- Kalisha Spomer—counselor at Fresno City College
Vartanian is very honored to be selected to the 40 Under 40 list. “Our Central Valley is filled with so many talented and motivated young people doing great things in several industries. It means a lot to be considered as one of those people, and I hope that continues for years to come.”
FPU provided many lessons that have helped him to succeed in his profession, he added. “More importantly though, at FPU we were continuously pushed to serve others and find a greater purpose for our lives. I love talking with folks about money, and specifically how to accumulate it. However, money is only as good as the good for which we use it. Using money to care for one’s family, leave a lasting legacy and to give to philanthropic causes are some of the greatest joys that one can achieve. Now I get to help people with their greater purposes, which is an incredible feeling.”
