FPU faculty discuss ministry program and church leadership on MB podcast

Quentin Kinnison, Ph.D., associate dean of the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Darren Duerksen, Ph.D., associate professor of intercultural and religious studies, appeared on the LEAD PODS, the official leadership podcast of the United States Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.

As part of the theme of exploring what the denomination can do to better prepare a new generation of leaders in our MB churches, Kinnison and Duerksen talked about FPU’s Bridge to Ministry Pathway program that makes it easier for students to earn a master’s degree in ministry. “Quentin and Darren share their desire to equip Gen Z and Millennials to lead and use their talents to serve the local church,” according to the podcast episode summary. “Since they work with college students every day, they also share insight into Gen Z's motivations and goals and how church leaders may be able to utilize young leaders for a new season of ministry.”

LEAD PODS is hosted by Matt Ehresman, communications & online engagement director at Ridgepoint Church, Wichita, KS.
