Rose appointed Associate Professor in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling at MB Biblical Seminary

President Jim Holm is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. David Bruce Rose as Associate Professor in the Marriage, Family and Child Counseling Program (MFCC) at MB Biblical Seminary. Dr. Rose will begin his duties on June 1, 2006 filling a two-year vacancy at the Seminary's Fresno, California campus.

"David is no stranger to any of us, having served as an adjunct faculty member and anchor for our practicum classes for the last ten years," says MB Biblical Seminary President Jim Holm. "He brings a rich experience of counseling and teaching into our setting."

Originally from Southern California, Rose received his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology. For the past three and a half years he has served as a Clinical Supervisor at Alliant International University in Fresno. Along with having a private counseling practice, Rose keeps busy serving on the Board of Directors for Jews for Jesus and is the president of the Western Region of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies.

Rose will teach courses in ethics, practicum, and integrating theology into counseling. "It is my vision," says Rose, "for the MFCC Program to continue to strive for "world class excellence" in training counselors to serve our Lord and the church in a wide range of contexts." MB Biblical Seminary, with campuses in Fresno, California, Langley, British Columbia and Winnipeg, Manitoba, inspires and equips men and women to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, and to serve and lead in the church and the world.

David and his wife Mary have two sons and two granddaughters. The family attends Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fresno, where David is Parish Associate Minister.
