Melanie Howard publishes two articles

Melanie Howard, Ph.D., assistant professor and program director of biblical & theological studies, has had her 2016 Society of Biblical Literature paper published as “Turning Cheeks at Checkpoints: Matthew 5:38-48 as a Text of Terror or Expression of Encouragement for Immigrant Audiences?” in Preaching in/and the Borderlands (wipfandstock.com/9781532664656/preaching-inand-the-borderlands/). Howard also published an article in Didaktikos, 4:3 (Feb 2021) titled “Philip, the Ethiopian Eunuch, and Student Hospitality.” This is the second of a three-part series on the topic of looking to Paul in teaching and learning with Latino, first-generation college students.
