Lisa Hood, DNP, FNP, director of the MSN/family nurse practitioner program and assistant professor of nursing, will speak at the 3rd International Conference on Nursing Science and Practice July 15-17, 2019, in Los Angeles. Her presentation will be on Family Nurse Practitioner Partnered Residency Education Program (FNP PREP), a partnership between FPU and Madera Community Hospital that seeks to address a shortage of nurse practitioners in the Central Valley that impedes medical care.
