Manjula Joseph writes about up-skilling program for high school math teachers

Manjula Joseph, Ph.D., associate professor and program director for math education, wrote “Transforming Practicing Teachers into Innovative Math Educators: Embracing the shift in math education for the Kern Master’s Upskilling Program: Fresno Pacific University’s MA in Mathematics Education” for the Central Valley Higher Education Consortium (CVHEC) blog. The April 20 entry described the work of a cohort of math teachers as they begin the Kern Master’s Upskilling program, a grant-funded effort to improve math instruction in high-need high schools and increase high school/college dual enrollment among students in those schools. Participating Teachers earn an M.A. in Mathematics Education. FPU is a member of CVHEC and a partner in the up-skilling program.
