MB Biblical Seminary has recently published "Double Take: New meanings from old stories" written by Professor of New Testament Timothy J. Geddert.
"Double Take" was a two year process initiated by Seminary staff member and editor of the book, Brad Thiessen. For years Geddert has used the book's material in his classes, taught on the Fresno, California campus. The printing of the book now makes the material available to a wider audience. Published by MB Biblical Seminary through Kindred Books, an imprint of Kindred Productions, the Seminary believes Geddert's work provides important insights into scripture and is a valuable resource for pastors and laypersons in their constituency.
"This book is about the adventure of learning new things in our study of the Bible," says Geddert in the book's introduction. "It is not so much a book of method as a book of examples. But from beginning to end, it's my aim to help readers reflect on what opens up the message of Scripture for the curious reader."
The book is available through Kindred Books.
