McNamara honored by American Association of School Librarians

Katie McNamara, clinical assistant professor of education and associate director of the teacher librarian program, was named a Social Media Superstar by the American Association of School Librarians in April 2019. From the AASL: “Social Media Superstars enrich the profession and its work on behalf of students and school communities by sharing information, expertise, ideas, encouragement, dialogue and inspiration widely with stakeholders via a variety of social media channels. With your nominations and endorsements of your peers, eight categories will recognize individuals who effectively use one or more social media channels to...share technology expertise of benefit to school libraries and school librarians and their work.” McNamara is also a teacher-librarian at North High School, Bakersfield.
