Dan Crosby (MA ’13, BA ’10) contributed a chapter to the book Prophets and Profits: Ancient Divination and its Reception. His chapter is titled “‘Arrows Fletched from Our Own Wings’: Discovering a ‘Delphi of the Mind’ in the Writings of the Early Church Fathers.” Material for the volume, which deals with divination in post-pagan societies including some historical Christian ones, comes from the 2015 Classics Colloquium at the University of South Africa augmented with further additional contributions. The book is published by Routledge, which bills itself as “the world’s leading academic publisher in the Humanities and Social Sciences,” and belongs to the Taylor & Francis Group. More here

Christina (Woods BA ’06) Whalen and father Leland Woods wrote The Greatest Gift of All: A Guide to Biblical Salvation. The book was published by Xulon Press shortly before Leland died January 17, 2017.
Gustavo Maya (BA ’04) has been named one of 21 Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellows for 2017 at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The fellowship is the nation’s largest and most prestigious award for Ph.D. candidates in the humanities and social sciences whose work addresses questions of ethical and religious values.
