Linda Hoff, Ph.D., head of the Teacher Education Division, has joined the California Teaching Fellows Foundation Board of Directors. Her three-year term begins August 1, 2020. Founded in 1999, the CTFF organizes internships and other activities for undergraduates studying to be teachers at eight Valley universities. Its mission is to: “inspire next-generation leaders with a passion for teaching and learning while impacting the lives of youth.” CTFF CEO Mike Snell called Hoff “an incredible champion for education, our community, the infrastructure and systems building work in the Central Valley and the value of teamwork and collaboration.”
“This board position will allow me greater access to the community college and state universities as I continue to find ways for FPU to develop sustainable education pathways,” Hoff said. Joining Hoff as new board members are Fresno State Provost Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, Ph.D.; and Jerome Countee, vice chancellor for educational services and institutional effectiveness at State Center Community College District.
