Jim Holm, President of MB Biblical Seminary, is pleased to announce the addition of four new staff members to the Seminary system.
Cam Priebe, a 2006 graduate of MB Biblical Seminary's Fresno campus, became the new Director for Ministry Quest on July 10, 2006. He will replace Rick Bartlett who has been Director since 2003. Cam, a native of Hepburn, Saskatchewan, has demonstrated outstanding skill in working with students in the Ministry Quest program over the last two years and will give good leadership to that ongoing ministry. He and his wife Shauna live in Fresno and have three children Tyson (10), Megan (6), and Madison (4).
On June 1, Rick Bartlett took on the assignment of Director of Constituency Relations for the MB Biblical Seminary system. He adds this new responsibility to his current roles as Student Dean and part-time faculty member for the Fresno campus. As Director of Constituency Relations Bartlett will oversee Recruitment, Public Relations, Alumni Relations and Ministry Quest. Rick and his wife Karen live in Fresno and have two children Grace (9) and Toby (7).
Mark Isaac, a former graduate of MB Biblical Seminary, has been appointed to serve as development officer for the West Coast and Central California, and will begin his assignment October 1, 2006. He will be responsible for church relations and donor development among the Mennonite Brethren of California and also among the non-MB constituencies in the central valley. Mark has a passion for the seminary, developed during his years as a student and continuing during his service as a member of the Board of Directors. Mark has resigned from his pastoral role at the Koerner Heights Church in Newton, KS, and will be completing his service there this summer. A native of Kingsburg, California, Mark plans to move back to the area with his wife Laurie and three younger children Scott (15), Katie (9) and Emily (7), next year, following their oldest daughter Allison's (17) completion of high school.
Steve Prieb, also a graduate of MB Biblical Seminary, has been appointed to represent the Seminary system in the mid-western United States in the Central, Southern and LAMB districts. His duties, which begin August 15, will include recruitment, church relations and donor development from North Dakota to South Texas. He has significant experience as a pastor and also has served as Moderator of the United States Mennonite Brethren conference giving him awareness of the needs of the larger MB church in the U.S. Steve will continue to live in Topeka, where he has recently resigned as Pastor of the MB church there. He and his wife Ruth have three children Tyler (18), Andra (17) and Rylan (8).
"I am very pleased by all of these appointments," says Holm. "Each person brings strong gifts and a wealth of experience to their position. They will strengthen the ministry of the seminary immediately, and strengthen it even more as they develop in their respective roles."
