Ron Adams, Fresno Pacific alumnus and former head men’s basketball coach, won the 2022 Tex Winter Assistant Coach Lifetime Impact Award from the National Basketball Coaches Association.

Adams is entering his 54th season of coaching and his 30th in the National Basketball Association after more than two decades in the college coaching ranks. For the last eight seasons he has been with the Golden State Warriors, helping to bring home four national championships. Since joining the NBA in 1992, he has worked with the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics.

For five consecutive seasons Adams was voted Best Assistant Coach in annual NBA general manager’s survey. He is also a part of the FPU Athletic Hall of Fame and the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame.
