Julie M. Lane, Ed.D., assistant professor of special education and special education program director, gave a presentation at an international conference in Braga, Portugal, where she showcased a study titled, "Inclusion in international schools: A study of theoretical principles" she conducted in collaboration with David R. Jones, M.S., special education practicum coordinator. The conference, "Embracing Inclusive Approaches for Children and Youth with Special Needs," took place July 14-17, 2014, and was coordinated by the Council for Exceptional Children, Division of International Special Education & Services and hosted at the Universidade do Minho, Instituto de Educacao.
