Linder brings service, organization to FPU alumni post

Dedication to service and an eye for organization are two of the strengths Nicole Linder brings to Fresno Pacific University.

Linder holds the newly created post of associate director of events and alumni programs in the university's Advancement Office. Among her responsibilities are to communicate with alumni, organize and assist volunteers, oversee special events such as Homecoming and the Alumni Phonathon and coordinate the church relations program.

"We have great confidence in Nicole's ability to develop and promote a mutually supportive relationship between the university and its alumni and other constituencies," said Mark Deffenbacher, vice president for advancement and university relations. "She has the personal traits and professional skills needed to make the most of this position."

Before coming to FPU Linder served as a marketing communications specialist for the Fresno Economic Development Corporation, scheduling director for the Fresno Mayor's Office and marketing representative for Xerox Corporation/Digibopp Technologies. She earned a bachelor's degree from California State University, Fresno.

"I'm delighted to be part of FPU during this exciting time in its history," she said. "I enjoy working in a Christian environment and really believe in the Fresno Pacific Idea."

Linder plans to bring energy and a sense of personal service to her work. "I look forward to getting to know the alumni," she said.
