Mark Baker, Ph.D., associate professor of theology, published a book with Ediciones Shalom in Lima, Peru, and Ediciones Semilla, an Anabaptist seminary, in Guatemala. Centrado en Jesús (Centered on Jesus) is written in Spanish and brings together essays and biblical reflections growing out of Baker's 34 years of ministry in Latin America. Topics include ways of correcting and getting healing from distorted concepts of Godcommon in Latin America. Themes include a re-reading of Galatians, bounded vs. centered churches, explorations of Mark 5:21-34 and Luke 7:36-50, the atonement, the pathos of God and the prophets and the judgment of God. The book is Baker's third in Spanish. The foreword is by César García (seminary '11), general secretary of Mennonite World Conference.
