Laura Schmidt Roberts contributes to a book, presents at a conference on Paul Ricoeur

Laura Schmidt Roberts, Ph.D., professor of biblical and theological studies, published the paper “Practical Formation: Teaching Critical Thinking via Ricoeur’s Hermeneutical Model,” which became a chapter in the book Paul Ricoeur and the Hope of Higher Education: The Just University to be published in December 2020 by Rowman & Littlefield as part of the Studies in the Thought of Paul Ricoeur, a series in conjunction with the Society for Ricoeur Studies. The paper was originally presented at the 2019 American Academy of Religion in San Diego in November 2019. Roberts participated in a panel discussion on the book presented October 7 as part of the 2020 Ricoeur (Online) Conference.
