Lane, Kinnison publish book on children with special needs

Julie Lane, Ed.D., assistant professor of special education/special education program director, and Quentin Kinnison, Ph.D., associate professor of contemporary Christian ministries/Christian ministry & leadership program director, have written a book, "Welcoming Children with Special Needs." Lane and Kinnison present a guide to a successful and sustainable special needs program in a Christian school. Kinnison outlines God's purpose for bringing children with special needs into the world, while Lane provides step-by-step guidelines for fostering an inclusive and sustainable environment.The authors support Christian school educators, parents of children with special needs and those who minister to people with disabilities who have developed or intend to develop a special needs program. The book was published October 7, 2014, by Westbow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan.
