Michael Allen, MBA, M.Div., is director of institutional research. He has a master's in business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, a master's in divinity from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary and a bachelor of arts from California State University, Fresno.

Jay Barrett, M.Ed., is assistant professor and director of the special education program at the Bakersfield Center. He has done doctoral work at the University of the Pacific and earned a master's at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a bachelor's from California State University, Los Angeles.

Darrell Blanks, M.A., M.S., is assistant professor of education. His master of arts is from FPU, his M.S. is from National University and his B.A. is from California State University, Fresno. He has credentials from FPU and CSUF.

Rizza Bermio-Gonzalez, Psy.D., is assistant professor of psychology. Her doctorate and master's degree are from Alliant International University and her bachelor's is from California State University, Fresno.

Megan Chaney, is assistant professor of special education. Her master's degree is from FPU and her bachelor's degree is from California State University, Fresno. She has credentials from FPU and CSUF.

Cynthia Coleman, Ed.D., is assistant professor of teacher education. Her doctorate is from the University of the Pacific and her master's and bachelor's degrees are from California State University, Stanislaus.

Martille Elias, Ph.D., is assistant professor of reading and language development. She has a doctorate and master's from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Her bachelor's is from Stephens College.

William Gillaspie, Ed.D., is assistant professor and director of the pupil personnel services program. His doctorate is from the University of San Francisco, and his master's and bachelor's are from California State University, Humboldt. He is based at the Bakersfield Center.

Lisa Keith, doctoral candidate, is assistant professor of special education. She is pursuing her doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology. She has a master's from National University and a bachelor's from the University of California at Irvine. Her credentials are from California State University, Fresno.

Autumn Lindberg, M.A., L.M.F.T., is instructor and program director of the marriage and family therapy program at the Visalia Center. Her master's is from the California Institute of Integral Studies and her bachelor's from Sonoma State University.

Casandra Lindell, M.Div., M.A., L.M.F.T., is instructor of psychology. Her master of arts is from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, her master's in divinity is from Western Seminary and her bachelor's is from California State University, Fresno.

John Mendiburu, Ed.D., is assistant professor of education and director of the administrative services program at the Bakersfield Center. His doctorate is from the University of LaVerne, and his master's and bachelor's degrees are from California State University, Bakersfield.

Gina Ponce de Leon, Ph.D., is associate professor of Spanish, language and culture. She has a doctorate and master's from the University of Colorado at Boulder and bachelor's degrees from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad Pedagogica Nacional.

Cynthia Scott, PSY.D., is assistant professor of marriage and family therapy. She has a doctorate and two master's degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and bachelor's degrees from California State University, Fresno.

Cheryl Dueck Smith, M.A., M.S., is instructor of sociology. She has a master's in theology and a master's in marriage and family therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree from FPU.

James Randall "Randy" Wallace, Ph.D., is director and associate professor of business programs at the Bakersfield Center beginning November 1, 2012. His doctorate is from Regent University, his master's is from Azusa Pacific University and his bachelor's is from Trinity College.

Two faculty received promotions

Brice Yocum, assistant professor of business and director for business programs at the Visalia Center, was appointed director of the master in business administration program. He graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law and has a bachelor's degree from California State University, Fresno.

Kevin Enns-Rempel was appointed director of Hiebert Library in March 2012. He had been interim director since May 2010. He joined the staff in 1984 as archivist for the Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies. Enns-Rempel has also taught history classes.
