James Van Slyke gives presentation on polarization

James Van Slyke, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the psychology program, presented “Loving One Another in the Age of Polarization” November 11, 2020, at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, Flintridge, CA. “Polarization in America seems worse than ever,” Van Slyke said, “but as Christians we need to think differently. Psychology can teach us a lot about where polarization comes from, how we are all prone to different kinds of biases and strategies for how to overcome them.” The Zoom presentation attracted more than 80 people.
